Even before we arrived to Nicaragua we heard great things about Rob and his amazing house. Totally by chance the ticket agent at American Airlines had also stayed at Casa Silas herself. She was full or praises for Rob and his wonderful home. This was our first experience with Airbnb and Casa Silas made an incredible first impression. Once Rob gives you the keys to his home you feel part of his family. It's hard to describe in words how comfortable we felt being under his care. I even had the pleasure to use his kitchen and cook a dinner for everyone. I highly recommend Casa Silas, the only complaint is not having enough time to stay longer. One more thing that gives this home character are his three dogs, they quickly win your attention and love.

We loved this accommodation. Claudia and Rob are great hosts, gracious and seemed to enjoy sharing their home. They were accommodating to our travel needs and always helpful with arrangements and information. There are only two rooms (we actually were in both because we stayed here twice during our trip). The rooms are large and have a nice colonial feel. The property is a well restored traditional colonial with rooms open to the courtyard and frescos on most walls. It is located well, a couple blocks from the center of town and easily accessible in and out of town. Great breakfast which was served at any hour we wanted.

Casa Silas was absolutely perfect for us. Rob and Claudia were the perfect hosts, and gave great recommendations for places to see and eat around town. They also helped facilitate a few great day trips for us. They made our trip hassle-free and even helped accommodate a substantial change in our travel plans. I must not neglect to mention the delicious breakfasts! A wonderful experience in beautiful Granada!

This is a great little place right in the historic part of Granada. Rob is a very attentive host and easy to work with. He was a great help in setting up drivers, choosing tours and finding local cuisine. He even walked with us down to a local home to show us where we could buy fresh nacatamales and tortillas. The whole house is very clean and quiet, we would definitely recommend it!
